Lubrication is an important component of ongoing maintenance for your Kiwiprop unit. Each blade has a small Pozidrive screw that can be removed and the individual blade greased using the needle nose grease point supplied with the unit. We recommend any brand of high quality marine grease. In addition both the front of the unit and the rear should be greased every time the vessel is hauled again using the needle nose grease gun attachment. So - in total there are 5 grease points. One on each blade plus fore and aft of the boss. All moving parts have either PETP or Neoprene seals to assist with grease retention, but as a general rule in the harsh marine environment regular greasing as often as the vessel is hauled should be the rule.
